Customer Service Representative

This position requires handling all phases of customer service, including answering customer calls, reading and coding customer letters, answering customer correspondence, and computer entry.  You will need to work quickly and accurately, as this is production work and standards must be attained. You will need to have knowledge of all of FC&A's products, prices, and policies. You will be cross-trained to handle all aspects of work in customer service. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls while maintaining a cheerful, competent, and helpful demeanor
  • Handle complaints
  • Take orders, enter charges, resolve billing problems
  • Read and code customers' letters
  • Respond to customer correspondence
  • Verify and update customer information from calls, emails, or letters
  • Perform computer data entry and 10-key numeric entry
  • Keep accurate daily paperwork

Qualifications:

  • A high commitment to quality
  • Accurate, detail oriented, well-organized
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and production standards
  • General computer literacy and mastery of standard office equipment
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute and enter 10-key by touch
  • Able to work in a mutually encouraging team atmosphere
  • Able to listen, ask questions and ensure understanding in communication
  • Able to handle multiple tasks, deal with dissatisfied and disgruntled customers, and maintain composure
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
