November is National Diabetes Month

RSS

For more than four decades, November has been a time to raise awareness of diabetes.  It’s a common condition that causes elevated glucose levels in the body.

The exact cause of Type 1 diabetes (once referred to as juvenile diabetes) is unknown.  Type 2 diabetes usually appears later in life, and is often linked to poor diets, obesity, and lack of exercise.  Another reason to eat healthy, and to stay active!

Talk to your doctor if you develop any of the symptoms of diabetes like fatigue, excessive thirst, frequent urination and blurry vision.
