Real Foods Are Better Than Pills

Eating on-the-go in the warm weather months sometimes means cutting corners on nutrition.  Vitamin and mineral supplements are an easy way to make up for deficiencies in your eating habits, but they’re not the answer to a long and healthy life. 

AICR nutritionist Melanie Polk says that “consuming a healthy, varied diet offers more effective protection against disease than any pill could hope to.”  

Pills may seem more convenient, but nutritious eating can be simple too.  “People have to understand that a healthy meal isn’t necessarily an elaborate meal.  A quick veggie stir-fry, or a simple salad, can get you in and out of the kitchen in minutes.”
