Clean Green with Olive Oil!

RSS

Don’t throw out cheap olive oil — even if you’ve decided to move up to extra-virgin olive oil for cooking. Put the inexpensive stuff to good use around your house.

  • Shine stainless steel without making it dull, like ammonia can.
  • Drizzle a little olive oil on dirty hands and work it in. Wash your hands as usual with hot, soapy water. Even car grease will come off easily.
  • Mix a teaspoon of olive oil with one-half cup vinegar. Use it on a soft cloth to pick up dust better than dry dusting.
  • Make a gentle polish for hardwood floors with one part white vinegar and three parts olive oil.

The best part is, olive oil is a non-toxic, natural cleanser! For even more inexpensive, chemical-free cleaning solutions, check out The Kitchen Table Book 3. Page 11 reveals the 75 cent product that will have your guests thinking you hired a professional cleaner!
